GSN Guestlists... Our Guestlists provide discount admission (and, sometimes, special access) to the best events, parties and restaurants in NYC. We also do our best to provide a social connection point so that our members can find each other and meet new friends. | ||

Sleepy & Boo at the Sullivan Room... This event was named 2009's "Best Dance Party" by New York Magazine. Come early (9pm-10pm) for a special private session, just for Graduate Student Network members, where you will meet the Artists and hear them discuss their musical vision and how the DJ thing works for them. If you can't make it early, your rsvp provides discount admission all night (so it will cost you ten bucks to get in, instead of the regular $20). The Sullivan Room is located at 218 Sullivan St., (between Bleeker and West 3rd), in the heart of Greenwich Village and just steps away from NYU. Dress for this event is 'party casual' so jeans and sneakers (as well as sequins and spandex) are all ok at the Sully. The Sullivan Room only fits about 400 people and it is usually jam packed by 1am, when things really start to get hot. So, we can only guarantee fast admission before 10pm with your confirmed RSVP. Insider info: Sleepy & Boo is the stage name of married couple Mike and Begona Gwertzman who spin (and compose) fresh beats together. They are the 'Resident DJs' at the Sully on Saturdays, and perform at many other great NYC venues and festivals. As Residents they open the set and usually bring in additional talent -- including DJ superstars such as Derrick Carter and Satoshie Tomiie. | ||
